Skipton & Craven Action For Disability
Wheelchair Hire SCAD operates a wheelchair hire facility in and around
Skipton The charity has over 20 folding wheelchairs, most of
them donated Residents of the area and to holiday makers visiting
Skipton and the Dales. We Charge just £2.00 per day with a maximum charge of
£60.00 for up to 3 months. The facility is very popular, especially for visitors to
the Dales enabling them to leave their own chair at homes for ease of
travelling. Local Hospitals, Doctors Surgeries, Care Homes, Nursing
Homes, Citizens Advice Bureau, Social Services etc. recommend this service to
their clients. We are the only charitable organisation in the area
